Summary
Support efforts that ensure quality during all phases of production. Focused on preventing quality issues
and supporting process improvement initiatives. Collaborates with suppliers, vendors, and customers
ensuring high-value interactions. Conducts equipment qualification activities.
Essential Functions
This job description reflects management’s assignment of essential functions; it does not prescribe or restrict

• Plan and support activities focused on the development, application, and maintenance of quality
standards for industrial processes, materials, and products.
• Support quality control processes and procedures including product inspection, line qualifications,
testing, analysis of products, troubleshooting, and quality investigations.
• Support equipment qualification activities, assess risks, and ensure that all equipment meets
safety and quality standards.
• Evaluate the precision and accuracy of equipment.
• Develop control plans that ensure consistent quality and that customer requirements and
expectations are met or exceeded.
• Support moderately complex projects focused on process improvement, waste reduction,
reduction of quality issues, and increased efficiency.
• Collaborate with suppliers of raw materials and purchased finished products, focused on ensuring
they meet quality standards and specifications.
• Collaborate with suppliers to resolve quality issues and implement sustainable countermeasures;
including process improvement, corrective actions, and continuous training.
• Support projects cross-functionally and motivate team members to meet goals.
• Conducts customer site visits to ensure that all customer requirements and expectations are met
or exceeded.
• Provide timely and effective customer communication and support focused on meeting customer
needs and expectations.
• Maintain satisfactory attendance, including timeliness.
• Responsible for understanding and complying with applicable quality, environmental, and safety
regulatory considerations. If accountable for the work of others, responsible for ensuring their
understanding and compliance.
Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications
• High School Diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate.
• Bachelor's degree plus 3 years of quality, laboratory, and/or operations experience in a
manufacturing or logistics environment reflecting increasing levels of responsibility; OR High
School Diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate plus 7 years of quality, laboratory, and/or
operations experience in a manufacturing or logistics environment reflecting increasing levels of
responsibility.
• Intermediate skill level utilizing Microsoft Suites including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
• Experience using Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software.
• Warehouse Management Software (WMS) and Customer Relationship Management (CRM)
systems experience.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Project management experience.
• Experience defining problems, collecting data, establishing facts, and drawing valid conclusions.
• Required to lift and move up to 50 pounds.
• Required to travel 25% of the time.
• Candidates for this position must have a valid driver’s license and a safe driving record. Required
to obtain a California driver’s license or appropriate state driver’s license within 30 days of hire.
Preferred Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Science, Engineering, or Business Administration plus 4 years of quality or
operations experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with Failure Mode & Effects Analysis (FMEA).
• Experience using statistical process control (SPC) to monitor and improve process performance.
• Experience navigating relationships with customers, suppliers & vendors.
• Experience reading, analyzing, and interpreting general business periodicals, professional
journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
• Experience working with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and
fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.
• Skilled in effectively presenting information and responding to questions from groups of
managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
• Knowledge of fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures in the area of specialization.
• Systems Applications and Products (SAP) experience strongly desired.
• American Society for Quality (ASQ) certification.
• Experience utilizing statistical software systems such as Mini-tab.
• Skilled in Lean Six Sigma methodologies.
• Experience performing detail-oriented tasks; recognizing and correcting discrepancies.

Compensation
Hiring Hourly Rate: $36.35 - $45.43.
Actual compensation amount paid may be lower or higher to be determined by factors other than race and gender such as the education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
