Summary
Supports the Demand Management component of Sales & Operational Planning (S&OP) for the Business Unit. Develops the tactical and five-year shipment forecasts using statistical tools and S&OP work processes. Works across the organization with functional teams to drive robust understanding of risks and opportunities associated with the forecast.
Essential Functions

• Develops and manages tactical, 4-18 month, and five-year shipment SCP and High Side forecasts based on analysis of volume trends, marketing and sales plans, and general market conditions using various technical tools for data extraction, manipulation, and extrapolation.
• Maintains the modeling parameters within SAP to generate the most accurate forecast while leveraging a proper mix between statistical data and market intelligence.
• Responsible for the coordination and consensus building used to develop production and deployment plans to deliver successful new product launches.
• Performs critical analysis that provides SKU and geography “gaps to plan” that enable General Management to put necessary corrective action in place.
• Leads the Regional Sales meetings. Prepares the analysis evaluating disconnects between the shipment and sales forecast. Leads the discussion to determine the best applicable forecast. Acts as lead liaison with Field Sales regarding forecasting and local sales plans.
• Supports the S&OP – Demand Meeting process. This includes providing insights to program lifts, program effectiveness, and other market intelligence. Tracks new products, launching distributions and velocity movement.
• Influences process adherence presents data driven analysis. and builds forecast consensus at all levels of the organization including General Management.
• Prepares analysis for management and shares research findings in the form of recommendations to sales and marketing and the Demand Manager.
• Work closely with Supply Chain team and conduct weekly progress meeting to ensure the communication between demand and supply teams.
• Manages forecast error at the SKU/State level through the use of Class A business processes. Demonstrates leadership in business analysis activities to form better product and market knowledge to deliver improved forecast accuracy.
• Plays an active role in leading the monthly S&OP- Demand Meetings.
• Helps to facilitate training of new hires, both in a one-on-one and group environment.
• Leads best practice sharing across the Demand Management Department.
• Plays a proxy role to the Demand Manager for all S&OP cycle meetings, where needed.
• Participates in the development of department procedures and performance measures.
• Maintains satisfactory attendance, to include timeliness.
• Responsible for understanding and complying with applicable quality, environmental and safety regulatory considerations. If accountable for the work of others, responsible for ensuring their understanding and compliance.

Minimum Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree plus 5 years of finance, accounting, military, operations, supply chain, logistics, sales, consulting, or wine industry experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility; OR Bachelor's degree plus 4 years of G3 finance, Accounting, operations, supply chain, logistics, and sales experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility; OR High school diploma or State issued equivalency certificate and 9 years of finance, accounting, military, operations, supply chain, logistics, sales, consulting, or wine industry experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility; OR High school diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate and 8 years of G3 finance, accounting, operations, supply chain, logistics, and sales experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility.
• Experience with MS Excel at an intermediate level.
Preferred Qualifications
• MBA degree plus 5 years of finance, accounting, military, operations, supply chain, logistics, sales, consulting, or wine industry experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility; OR Bachelor’s degree in operations management, mathematics/statistics, business administration (accounting or finance) plus 8 years of experience in forecasting, operations, supply chain, accounting, finance analytical, or sales experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility.
• Experience analyzing and interpreting general market and economic conditions. Experience
writing reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals. Experience effectively presenting information and responding to questions from groups of managers and customers.
• Experience defining problems, collecting data, establishing facts and drawing valid conclusions. Experience interpreting an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
• Experience performing work that is varied and may be somewhat difficult in character, usually involving limited responsibility, requiring frequent evaluation, originality or ingenuity.
• Knowledge of the fundamental concepts, practices and procedures of this particular field of specialization.
• Basic MS Word and MS PowerPoint.
• Knowledge in the use of consumer media information/tools, spreadsheet software, extrapolation methods and data manipulation or has transferable technical strengths that support quick learning of forecasting tools.

Compensation
Hiring Salary Range: $91,500 -$114,400
Actual compensation amount paid may be lower or higher to be determined by factors other than race and gender such as the education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
