Job Description: 

 

Summary
Perform general, miscellaneous duties in assigned area(s).

 

Essential Functions
This job description reflects management’s assignment of essential functions; it does not prescribe or restrict
the tasks that may be assigned.
• Responsible for consistently maintaining the cleanliness of work area(s), and maintenance and
repair of tools and equipment.
• Perform miscellaneous duties requested by Leaders which may include, but is not limited to
detailing, painting, completing necessary documents and paperwork, and/or filling in for absent
employee(s) as needed.
• Perform reworking of supplier products from one package into another when necessary. Includes
sorting through damaged products, identifying salvageable products per customer standards, and
repacking as needed.
• Collect and package unsellable products to prepare for disposition to dump.
• Responsible for material handling and product movement as needed including loading and
unloading diverse types of freight.
• Maintain security of all company equipment and tools and notify leaders of any problems.
• Follow all environmental regulations; dispose of chemicals, trash, etc. in designated areas,
recycle when required and notify the Leader immediately of any potential or current environmental
problems.
• Maintain satisfactory attendance, including timeliness.
• Responsible for understanding and complying with applicable quality, environmental and safety
regulatory consideration

 

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications
• High school diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate.
• Ability to obtain FLD certification within 30-60 days of employment.
• Required to lift and move up to 50 pounds.
• Basic PC knowledge.
• Able to work overtime as needed.

 

Preferred Qualifications
• High school diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate plus 1 year of general labor and/or
material handling experience.
• Previous experience in a warehouse environment.
• Experience utilizing multiple forklift attachments.
• Skilled in comprehending simple instructions, short correspondence and memos such as email.
• Experience reading and interpreting documents such as BOL, instruction sheets, safety rules,
operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; reach with
hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to lift and move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision
requirements are peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be occasionally exposed to outside weather
conditions, fumes or airborne particles, and toxic or caustic chemicals. The employee is occasionally
exposed to moving parts. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud. The work
environment may not be temperature controlled and potential exposure to natural weather conditions.

 

Compensation

Hiring Hourly Rate: $18.56 - $21.83

Actual compensation amount paid may be lower or higher to be determined by factors other than race and gender such as the education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
